Sarah Hyland has revealed that she will be joining ABC’s upcoming remake of Dirty Dancing.
The Modern Family actress will be portraying Lisa Houseman, who is Baby’s older sister. The other castmembers who have been confirmed to join the remake are Nicole Scherzinger as Penny Johnson, Debra Messing as Marjorie Houseman, and Colt Prattes as Johnny Castle. The leading role of Frances “Baby” Houseman will be played by Scream Queens star Abigail Breslin.

Eleanor Bergstein, who wrote the original movie and stage musical, has been confirmed as an executive producer alongside Allison Shearmur. The Dirty Dancing remake, which will be around three hours long, will be directed by Wayne Blair.
