On March 23, 2023, a death announcement was made for the Okaloosa Sheriff.

Many people have been deeply saddened by the news of his passing, leaving his family, who will always mourn him, devastated and in a state of grief.

A GoFundMe has been created to help generates funds for the family

I feel helpless in this, but I wanted to do something to help. I would like to raise money to provide donations to his family for funeral and celebration of life services. As a PATHS member and a Liza Jackson parent, I can imagine everyone in my situation is feeling similarly. All money raised will go to this cause. Message from Sheriff Aden: “It is with tremendous sadness we report our brother, former Deputy Cullen Coraine, was found deceased in his home late this afternoon. No foul play is suspected. Please keep in mind this investigation is in progress and ongoing. He separated from the OCSO earlier this week after nearly 10 years of dedicated service. He was a highly decorated and awarded School Resource Officer for the last eight years of his service. He was a dedicated public servant and passionately lead our youth Explorer program. He was personally responsible for recruiting some of these students to later become deputies at the OCSO. Several young deputies credit Deputy Coraine as their biggest influence in choosing a career in law enforcement. He touched thousands of young students’ lives while serving as an SRO. The impact he made cannot be measured and will likely not be duplicated anytime soon. He will be missed by all. We ask for your prayers for his family, friends, and former co-workers here at the OCSO.” Sheriff Aiden from Facebook

Investigative accounts state that the adored Officer Cullen was discovered dead in his house.
